The PLMS PTSA Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for

the 2021-22 Executive Board.

Would you, or someone you know, like to take a more active role in representing and advocating for the students at Pine Lake MS?

This committee looks for the following (4) officers each year. Each of these roles may be co-chaired, although it is recommended that we have only one Treasurer. 

President            Vice President             Treasurer              Secretary

A Nominating Committee has been elected to conduct a search for candidates. If you wish to nominate someone, or yourself, for consideration, you can submit the nomination form or contact any of the Committee members. All nominations must be received by Friday, April 16, 2021 for consideration by the committee. 

Nominations after that date will need to be made in person at the May meeting.  A slate will be posted on or before May 11, 2021.

Elections will take place at the General Membership Meeting on Wed., May 26, 2021 via Zoom video call.

For context, a potential Executive Board nominee:

• Must be a PTSA member (though not necessarily a member the PLMS PTA) 15 days preceding the election.
• Must be willing to attend required PTA training for the position to which he or she will be elected.
• Must be enthusiastic and supportive of the local PTA and believe in it's purpose.
• May have previous experience in PTA or other associations.
• Should have knowledge of PTA and its role in the school and community.
• Should be relied upon to give PTA a satisfactory level of priority and commitment.
• Should have good relationships with people.
• Must be fair and objective and able to subordinate personal interests to the interests and well-being of the PTA.
• Should have vision and be innovative.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
